How Sensitivity Conversion Actually Works

Every engine defines a yaw value — the degrees your view rotates per mouse count at sensitivity 1. Valorant's yaw is 0.07°, Source-based games use 0.022°, and COD/Overwatch use 0.0066°. Dividing the yaws gives an exact ratio, so the conversion preserves your cm/360 — the physical distance your hand travels for a full turn. That physical distance is what your muscle memory is trained on, not the in-game number.

Keep DPI Constant When You Switch

The single most common mistake when moving from BGMI-style mobile play or between PC titles is changing DPI and sens at the same time. Lock your mouse DPI (800 is the modern standard), convert only the in-game value, and your flicks land from day one. If you also want to experiment with a new sensitivity, do the clean conversion first, play a week, then adjust deliberately using the eDPI calculator.

Why cm/360 Beats "Feel"

Players who eyeball their sensitivity in a new game usually end up 20–40% off and spend weeks whiffing sprays. A converted sensitivity feels wrong for about an hour — because the ADS multipliers and FOV differ — and then muscle memory takes over. Trust the math, and verify your fragging holds up with the KDA calculator after your first ten matches.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I convert Valorant sens to CS2?

Multiply your Valorant sensitivity by 3.18 (the ratio of the games' yaw values, 0.07 ÷ 0.022). A 0.4 Valorant sens becomes about 1.27 in CS2 at the same DPI.

How do I convert CS2 sens to Valorant?

Multiply your CS2 sensitivity by 0.314 (0.022 ÷ 0.07). A 1.5 CS2 sens becomes about 0.47 in Valorant at the same DPI.

Does DPI matter when converting sensitivity between games?

No — as long as you keep the same DPI in both games, only the in-game number needs converting. DPI matters only for computing your cm/360.

What is yaw in sensitivity conversion?

Yaw is how many degrees your view turns per mouse count at sensitivity 1. Valorant's yaw is 0.07, CS2's is 0.022 — dividing them gives the exact conversion ratio, which is how this converter stays accurate.
