How Many Clicks Per Second Is Good? CPS Explained
CPS (clicks per second) measures how fast you can click. Most people manage around 6–7 CPS with a normal click; 8–10 is fast. Special techniques push higher.
Test your CPS
Try the click speed test over 5, 10 and 30 seconds. Longer tests show your endurance, not just your burst.
Clicking techniques
- Normal clicking — comfortable, accurate, around 6–7 CPS.
- Jitter clicking — tense the arm to vibrate the finger; faster but tiring.
- Butterfly clicking — two fingers alternating on one button; fast, but some servers flag very high CPS.
When CPS matters
It matters in clicker games and some PvP games. In most shooters, accuracy and reaction time matter far more than raw speed.
