Valorant Rank Distribution: What Percent of Players Are Diamond?
Diamond is roughly the top 10–20% of ranked Valorant players. The exact share changes every act. Riot doesn't publish a live official distribution, so figures come from sampled tracker data. Most players sit between Silver and Platinum, and Radiant is capped at the top 500 players per region.
How Valorant ranks are spread
Valorant has nine ranks: Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Ascendant, Immortal and Radiant. All except Radiant have three tiers. The distribution is shaped like a hill: few players at the bottom, most in the middle, and a thin tail at the top.
- Iron to Silver: a large share of new and casual players.
- Gold and Platinum: the middle of the ladder, where most active players sit.
- Diamond: roughly the top 10–20%, depending on the act.
- Ascendant: roughly the top 5–10%.
- Immortal: a few percent at most.
- Radiant: only the top 500 players in each region.
Treat these as ranges, not exact numbers. Riot shifts the distribution with rank resets and ladder changes, and tracker sites only see players who use them.
Why the numbers change every act
- Rank resets: at a new episode, players place lower and the ladder bunches up.
- Ladder changes: Riot has added ranks (Ascendant) and adjusted tiers before.
- Who plays: casual players drop off late in an act, which pushes the visible distribution up.
