PS5 or PC at the Gaming Café? How to Choose for Your Game

Team HangOn·19 Mar 2026·5 min read

Most gaming cafés offer both PS5s and gaming PCs, often at different prices. Picking the right station comes down to the game you're playing and who you're playing with.

Book a PS5 when…

  • You're playing EA FC / FIFA, Tekken, Mortal Kombat or NBA 2K — these are built around controllers and couch play.
  • You're with friends who want to play on one screen together.
  • You want PlayStation exclusives like God of War, Spider-Man or Gran Turismo.
  • Some of your group don't play much — controllers are easier to pick up.

Book a PC when…

  • You're playing Valorant, CS2, League of Legends or Dota 2 — these are PC-only or PC-first.
  • You care about high frame rates and mouse aim.
  • You're a 5-stack that wants seats next to each other.
  • You want to play your own Steam or Epic library.

What about price?

PCs are often cheaper per hour than PS5s, but a PS5 can seat two to four players on one screen, which can make it cheaper per person. Compare real prices for PS5 gaming cafés and PC gaming cafés near you.
